Onneley members play in competitions most weeks of the year, as follows:
A main club competition that runs on Sundays, open to any club member with a WHS handicap (although some have additional qualifying conditions on entry or eligibility for the trophy awarded to the winner). Although competitors may tee off at any booked time of the day, most players prefer to play in the mornings.
Competitions restricted to women are organised by the Ladies' Section and run on Tuesdays, when the tee is reserved for them between 09:30 and 11:00.
Competitions for junior golfers take place on Sunday afternoons; the Junior Academy takes place on the practice ground on Saturday afternoons.
Competitions for men over the age of 55 may be less serious, but are no less keenly contested. The first tee is reserved for them until 09:30 but with two-tee starts and four-ball play, younger golfers might be advised to delay teeing-off till 10:00!
